Insertion:
- Always manipulate the Eureka! Cup with clean hands. For the first use, sterilize the Eureka! Cup in boiling water for 4 minutes.
- Follow the steps:
1st.- For right-handed people, hold the Eureka! Cup for its crown between the index finger and the thumb of the left hand. With the tip of the index finger of your right hand, fold the Eureka! Cup from any of its 4 tabs, to the deepest point of it. It will be withdrawn.
2º.- Extract the index finger and without it unfolding, and take the Eureka! Cup with his right hand. Find the position that is most comfortable for insertion into the vagina.
3º.- Separate the vaginal lips with the left hand and insert the Eureka! Cup until it is whole inside the vagina (except for the tube). When you remove your fingers, the Eureka! Cup will unfold inside the vagina. To help make this happen, you can rotate the Eureka! Cup until noticing that it has been successfully deployed. You can check it out by circling the Eureka! Cup with your finger.
4.- Insert the tube into the vagina, with the help of your fingers, until it is absolutely in an upright position. The Eureka! Cup will be sealed and ready to be enjoyed.
Emptying:
- Empty the Eureka! Cup at least once every 12 hours. It may need to be emptied earlier, depending on the intensity of each period.
- Before emptying, wash your hands if possible with hot water and neutral soap. Insert two fingers into the vagina and grasp the tube to proceed with its extraction, always maintaining pressure so that the blood does not flow through it. Point to the toilet bowl and stop pressing the tube with your fingers, to allow the blood to flow down to the toilet, until the cup is empty. Once emptying is complete, raise the tube back up to the sealing position, as indicated above. If necessary, the tube can be cleaned with paper before it is inserted back into the vagina.
Extraction:
- To fully extract the Eureka! Cup, proceed in the manner indicated in the emptying section, but instead of raising the tube again, grasp the base of the cup (not the tube) with two fingers and remove it.
- We recommend using the Eureka Cup until you find the easiest and most suitable way to insert, empty and remove it. It can vary depending on each person.
